The ecological restoration process involves assisting the recovery of damaged, destroyed, or degraded ecosystems. Typically in New Zealand, this can be due to a number of factors such as human intervention like land clearance for agriculture, industry, or urban development. Increasingly, impacts from natural phenomena such as climate change, coastal erosion and invasive species, are applying pressure to our ecosystems.

Glasson Huxtable are specialists in ecological planning and restoration projects. Work we can assist with includes; riparian, wetlands, coastal, forest, stormwater, rural, farm environments, urban and residential restoration. We can also assist with the mitigation of and restoration for large scale industrial projects such as mining.

We are also able to assist with long term and staged management strategies for the transition of areas affected by invasive species back into native vegetation.
