This design for a new preschool in Rolleston includes generous play spaces for both under 2s and over 2s. Play elements include play roads with traffic lights, sand pits, mounds, slides, waterplay, balancing beams and logs, story time areas, living willow dens, boulderplay areas, ball pit and meeting houses. A courtyard and cafe with patio area are also provided to provide spaces for parents and staff to be able to take a well earned rest. Planting includes a sensory planting area with vege beds and seasonal interest. Prunus trees will provide a burst of blossom in the spring time. Existing vegetation has also been retained where possible to retain character, structure and shelter.
