This gold mine was set in a rural environment near to Gore township. The mining operated for several years before it was exhausted. Our roles was to rehabilitate the mine and lake in to the surrounding rural landscape. Lakeside riparian planting fenced off from stock, regrading of the lake edge and adjoining land and retention of the gold dredge were elements in the rehabilitation process.
