Twizel Residence

Mackenzie District, Canterbury

This project provided great opportunities for a creative design solution, plant selection was guided primarily by the harsh climatic conditions on site. The design relies heavily on fluidity of lines and form and the use of native plant species that thrive in such environments. As with the buildings architecture, natural materials of raw timber and stone were utilised for the landscape elements, reflecting the values of integrity and context of the montane environment.
