This project involved the siting, placement and integration of two farm nodes and a house site at Simons Pass Station. Landscape assessment work and mitigation strategies were undertaken to identify and minimise any potential adverse effects on the landscape. These included mounding around the base of buildings and native planting strategies to screen and integrate the proposals into the landscape. We also worked with the architects of the house, Designtech architectural Ltd to reduce the effects of the design, including selecting a low impact colour and masonry palette, and reducing glare from windows and roofs.
